Harriet Jacobs has struggled against oppression.... 1. Harriet Jacobs had an afair or how u spell it, had a secret relationship with Samuel Sawyer. 2. Harriet Jacobs managed to escape away from her owner, Dr. Norcom. 3. Harriet Jacobs managed to hid in her grandmother Molly's attic for 7 years. 4. Harriet Jacobs managed to have a boat ride to America and get her family and children free from North Carolina's slavery. 5. Harriet Jacobs was able to write her book on her life when she was a slave girl named " Incidents from a life of a slave girl" 6. And Harriet Jacobs was able to write a fake letter to Dr. Norcom who was trying to find her about her running away in the north.
