Also in 1875 there were jobs for coal miners where whites wanted more money for their jobs, so the corporations hired Chinese immigrants would be hired for less, and they wouldn’t complain so they always got the best spots for mining. 2. The local, state, and federal laws singled out the Chinese community by when the congress passed the Chinese Exclusion Act and when the state and local government made a law that didn’t let Chinese witnesses from testifying against whites in courts. 3. The Chinese labors were different from other residents in Rock Springs, Wyoming because in Rock Springs, the companies would give the Chinese miners the best spots because the Chinese didn’t know the minimum wage that they were supposed to have. 4. Segregation contributed to intolerance in Rock Springs because if you’re separated from people that you don't know, you won’t know their customs and you can’t get to know their religion, and since you don't know why their customs are you might think that those people are weird just because they’re different from you. Segregation mostly leads to intolerance because you don't know those people’s customs and what they think of their daily routine it might be strange to you, and you might not like them for it. 5. Why did women and local physician (doctor) carry out violent acts against the Chinese when they were not directly involved in the labor dispute? The women and local physician carried out violet acts against the Chinese because they could get valuables from the Chinese, and they lost something to the Chinese immigrants.
