Some of the examples of how Mary Dyer was opprssed against was... 1. She was banished from the colony because she believed in Quakerism. 2. Mary Dyer was sent to jail because she did heresy and blasphmey, and also believed in another religion other than Puritan. 3. Mary Dyer was punished because she was a Quaker and because she expressed to others what she feels. 4. Mary was not allowed to talk in churchs all because she was a woman. 5. Mary Dyer has been oppessed against becasue she was a Quaker. 6. And Mary Dyer has been sent to die because she had made many other people become a Quaker like her, and she had fought against the law.

How Harriet Jacobs and Mary Dyer are oppressed and discriminated
Harriet Jacobs was oppressed and discriminated because just because she was a black female slave her owner thought that he could take advantage of her, she was sexually abused, and she couldn’t have a life without anyone telling her what to do. Mary Dyer was oppressed and discriminated because of what her religion was, since she believed in Quakerism she had to be put in jail 4 times. The one thing that these two women had in common that they were discriminated for was the reason that they were both women who had their own thoughts, their own beliefs. Mary Dyer believed that people should get to choose their own religion, and shouldn’t be ruled over just because of who they were, while Harriet Jacobs believed that African Americans shouldn’t be slaves, or servants to people in they didn’t want to be. Both those women had thoughts of freedom for people and themselves, and they kind of made it come true.

-Mary Dyer was kicked out of Boston because she was a Quaker. -She was put in jail because of her Quakerism. -She wasn't allowed to speak out because she was a woman. -In church, she wasn't allowed to talk and have religious discussions because she was a woman. -Many people told her to give up her religion. -She was forced to watch while her friends get hanged. -She was executed, she was hanged on the gallows because she was a Quaker and would stay a Quaker. -She was buried in an unmarked grave.
