Chris you said in da hw site, dat we need ta post our thesis statement for the essay on da final on voices, but i cant find it, and i didnt noe dat we had ta do a RR for da company..... until susan told me.... d**n...... so muchie hw...... o yea...for da essay we can make drafts of it right?...

not a question, but a comment, i just wanna say, chris, when we read, taking notes is SO, SO much easier than a reading response, it's much faster, and to me, less boring

I had to respond to Susie's comment. Reading responses don't have to be boring! Summaries are boring, and we don't want summaries. When we ask you to make text-text connections in your reading responses, the text you compare it to doesn't have to be a text you read in this class. Remember that the definition of "text" is pretty broad: there are visual texts (subway ads, movies, cereal boxes), among others. Ana once compared one of her books to the movie version. Text-self can be interesting: you can learn a lot about yourself when you explore how you reacted to a book and why. If anyone needs ideas for reading response suggestions, email me for help. And remember, if you (not you, personally, Susie) are bored while you write the response, it is probably boring for us to read as well. Try to use the freedom and your creativity to enjoy the assignment while improving your writing skills.

yea... wah hanie said.. itz mostly boring and really long, and takes a long time only if you use summaries instead... and if you use the reading response questions its really fast to answer the reading responeses

when i write reading responses, it's just that sometimes i read so much, i can't help it but write this whole long summary of what i just read, i can't like summarize like 30 pages in 2 or 3 sentences, ya know?? :-X
